Six Edmonton fire crews fought a blaze in a Westmount home Sunday morning.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services spokeswoman Brittany Lewchuk said crews responded to a single-family residence on Wadhurst Road near 103 Avenue at 10:23 a.m. to find the home engulfed in flames. Heavy smoke was billowing out of the roof of the house as firefighters worked to contain the fire.

Damage could be seen on the roof of the home with burn marks around windows on the main and upper floors.

No injures were reported in the fire and it was contained to the one residence, Lewchuk said. Fire investigators also responded to the scene but a cause hasn’t yet been determined.
