Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will be providing her COVID-19 update at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The most recent government data shows the province recorded 908 new cases Tuesday and had a positivity rate of 9.1 per cent.
There were 685 people in hospital due to COVID-19, a drop from 691 the day before. That includes 185 people in intensive care, two less than the day before.
Also on Wednesday, Education Minister Adriana LaGrange announced that the province’s K-12 students outside of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) will go back to in-person learning next week.
