City police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who went missing while swimming in the North Saskatchewan River over the weekend.
On Saturday, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services contacted Edmonton police to help with a search for 31-year-old Samuel Martin. It was reported that at about 6 p.m., Martin was swimming with a friend in the river between Dawson Park and the Capilano Bridge when he did not resurface.
Despite multiple search efforts, Martin has not been located and police are hoping for the public’s help.
Martin is described as six feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and several notable tattoos, including “SMJB” on the right side of his neck and a half sleeve with multiple images on his left forearm.
He was last seen wearing white shorts.
Anyone with information on Martin’s location is asked to contact police.
