Edmonton police are investigating a ‘brazen gunfire exchange’ in the northeast neighbourhood of Clareview.

Just before 8 p.m. on July 23, police received a report of gunshots in the area of 132A Avenue and Clareview Road. It was reported the occupants of a black Jeep Cherokee and a grey Honda Accord exchanged gunfire in the neighbourhood before driving off.

Two homes were struck by bullets and several pedestrians were in the area, including a small child when the shots were fired.

The occupants of the vehicles are believed to have continued firing at each other while travelling on Clareview Road before leaving the area.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are urging anyone with information or footage of the shooting to contact police.
