Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will be providing an update on COVID-19 in the province at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

This comes after Alberta on Monday reported its lowest daily case count since August 2020.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney also announced on Monday that on top of the three $1-million lotteries and the travel packages from WestJet and Air Canada for people 12 and older who have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, there are now 635 Stampede giveaways.

By end of day Monday, 70.7 per cent of Albertans 12 and older had received one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
