Mainly cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries this morning.
Yesterday afternoon was beautiful! Sun shining, birds singing, and not a cloud in the sky but by 8 p.m. it was obvious something was up. The wind started to howl, and the clouds started to roll in.
The wind kept me up half the night thumping and banging things around. I didn’t tie down the garbage carts as well as I should have.
I “woke up” to a fresh skiff of snow and the wind hasn’t let up. Thank goodness I didn’t decide to pack away the winter gear for the season. It looks like we might need it just a little bit longer.
I’ve lived here my whole life and I still am baffled at how we can make 25-degree weather shifts in less than 24 hours and that’s not factoring in the wind chill.
The forecast says it will be staying a bit cooler for the rest of the week and maybe start to see some improvement next week. I hope it’s right because we’re about to pick up Myrtle from her winter vacation at the RV storage lot and I am excited to get out and do some camping!
