A little fact about me on my favourite day of the week, wine Wednesday, I have worked really hard to gain an understanding of wine. I’ve taken the WSET course that is recognized worldwide for educating people looking to understand more about wine and spirits. This has become a passion of mine over the years. So far, I have achieved my level 3 certification.
So when I ask what you are drinking, I really do care. I’ve always enjoyed talking about food and wine with anyone who would listen. My passion for it began young. My Dad has always had an appreciation for wine and we would often sit and chat about what we were drinking and decide what made that specific wine special. As I got more into it, I wanted to learn more and decided to take my level 1 and it’s been my hobby ever since.
I even had the pleasure of working at a great little wine shop to help people find just the right wine to go with what they were serving. This is a fun challenge for me too. So if you don’t know what to pair with what you’re serving feel free to ask, I might just have a suggestion. 😉
So what are you drinking on this absolutely beautiful Wednesday in April? I’m thinking I’m going to soak up some rays out on the deck and have a fun, light rosé. A romato, which is a pinot grigio that sees just a hint of skin contact during the crushing process which gives the wine a little more depth of flavour and a fun, salmon hue. It’s one of my go-to favourites, a “porch pounder” as I like to call it. It honestly tastes like biting into a fresh juicy peach. DELISH!
