A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.
This photo sums it up perfectly. This is how the first week of home learning is going. I’m annoyed by the voice of my son’s teacher but I have to be able to hear them so I can keep him on track. My other son likes to fidget so he has destroyed an eraser into little bits that he has thrown all over the floor. There are art supplies strewn around the house from the many projects that have sparked creativity in my young scholars. My back hurts because I’m sitting at the kitchen table in an uncomfortable chair while I attempt to do my job and keep my kids on track with their schooling. This is hard! Who’s with me?
Thankfully the beautiful weather has made it possible for us to get out and run around some. This has been hardest on the kids. Not seeing friends and not having the consistency of being in the classroom and guided by their teachers and support staff. If we keep this up we should get them back into their desks and back to a more normal situation soon.

Until then let’s all take a deep breath and hope that this doesn’t get extended any longer.
